What is involved in opening a motorcycle shop? dealers, for example, etc. I have several franchises ex Honda, Suzuki? How do I organize a specific brand, such as Honda? How do you organize the bike / brands / franchises, etc? Do I need clothes MX source from the USA or Australia? What company? For example, if I want to sell "Fox" where do I go? I assume you have little capital limited (like most entrepreneurs tend to follow). In this case, your best bet is to start small by opening a virtual store eBay, the sale of motorcycling. But you should be aware that there is a LOT of people doing just that. I shop for my gear on eBay all the time, and there is never a shortage. If you open a virtual store, you need to find a "hook" – something no one else has that you think is a hot selling item. As for the dealers – as far as I know, Harley-Davidson is the only brand that requires exclusivity. IE if you open a Harley shop, you can not have any other motorcycle brands under one roof. Other brands are much more flexible on that sort of thing. The best thing do is go on the corporate website of each brand (found on Yahoo or Google) and look for a link containing information franchise. If you do not see not, find the "contact us" link. They will tell you how much you need to have before, and what the rules are for the use of their name. The same applies to different brands of motorcycle clothing. Once you decide which side you want to go – next thing you need thinking to marketing. This is especially important if you have a virtual business, shop, etc. An effective way is to offer commissions to referrals resulting in sales. For example, you come up with a banner ad … ask it to be posted on a company related (like mine – traveling on a motorcycle in the world) … then every time someone finds your company via the link on my site and buys something, You pay me a small commission on the sale.
